Gift Registry Conditions
Our Gift Registry service can be used for weddings, engagements, birthdays, housewarmings, baby showers, anniversaries, Christmas and any other special occasion. Wherever this page refers to “you”, it means the Registry Owner(s) (the person/people who created the registry).
Prices
All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST of 15%. We endeavour to ensure all prices are correct at the time your registry is published; however, we reserve the right to amend prices as necessary without prior notice.
Specials & Promotions
Items added to a registry at a promotional price are only available at that price while stocks last. If a promotion sells out, we can reorder the item where possible, but it may be at the original (non-promotional) price.
Stock Availability
We work hard to ensure items are available when your registry is created. However, suppliers can discontinue or change ranges without notice.
If a gift purchased from your registry becomes unavailable, we will offer either:

a similar alternative, or
-
a gift voucher to the value of the gift (redeemable across our range).
Please note:

We do not source unavailable gifts from other retailers.

Cash refunds will not be given when gifts are unavailable for any reason.

We will not notify gift-givers if their purchased item has been swapped for an alternative or issued as a voucher.
Vouchers and Credit Notes
Vouchers and credit notes are treated as cash and cannot be re-issued—please keep them safe.
Registry Completion & Collection / Delivery
All gifts will be held at our Newmarket store. We will contact the Registry Owner(s) closer to the event date (or your preferred collection date) to arrange collection.
Delivery can be arranged for a fee (based on the final quantity, size/weight of gifts, and the delivery address).
Exchanges
We’re happy to exchange items purchased from your Gift Registry, subject to the following:

Exchanges must be made within 3 months of your event date (or within 3 months of collection/delivery if no event date applies).

If you can’t find a suitable exchange item, we will issue a credit note. It is our policy not to provide refunds.

We can only exchange items that have been marked as purchased on your registry.

If a guest bought an item from The Homestore that wasn’t marked against your registry, please provide proof of purchase (receipt or exchange card).

For seasonal items, sale items, or items ordered in especially for you, The Homestore reserves the right not to exchange.

Please contact us within 2 days of delivery to report damaged, faulty, or duplicated items.
Cancellation / Changes
If your event is cancelled or postponed, the Registry Owner(s) must notify us by email. Any guests who have purchased a gift will be contacted and offered a refund.
The Registry Owner(s) may be required to pay a cancellation fee of 10% of the total value of items purchased before any guest refunds are processed.
Security
Our secure credit card gateway includes 128-bit encryption provided by the Bank of New Zealand.

Prices are correct at the time of publication; however, we reserve the right to change them at any time. If a price change affects an item you’ve ordered, we’ll contact you before processing your order.
Special prices and promotions are subject to availability. If your selection is no longer available, we’ll be in touch.
Stock Availability
We work hard to keep our range in stock. Occasionally suppliers experience delays or supply issues—if this happens, we’ll provide an ETA or suggest alternatives.
Gift Collection / Delivery
Gifts are held at our Newmarket store and are typically released for collection closer to the Registry Owner(s)’ nominated date.
